Pokemones

Newsweek has a pretty interesting and highly inaccurate article up about the Pokemones trend here in Chile, which I'm sure you've all noticed by now. Read it here in English. Or if you are a random person reading this blog and want to find it in Spanish, Chile Liberal has the translation.

Interesting article, but judging from other peoples comments (and the majority) this journalist doesn't seem to have the facts right; I say leave the kids alone, we all go through rebellious phases; what's the big deal? Write something worth writing about...

I love them. What a refreshing change (wasn't that the line from a soft drink ad?)they make to the polyester-camel-toed-court-shoed women and the check-shirted-chinoed-slip-on-shoesed men. And that's before we even get to the political and social opinions (or lack of)... Long live smoking sex-partaking teenagers BREAKING RULES IN CHILE I say.

Hope you're all good. Miss those of you who I know. Miss my presents XX
